DJ is the newest member to the Top Hat family. He started his tattoo career in Raleigh, North Carolina working at a street shop where he catered to many of the NC State students and local professionals with custom artwork and many pieces from flash.
He has worked as a digital artist, a web designer, an illustrator for companies such as the PGA, the NFL and Nascar, a painter and even as an assistant chef. "I have found none of my past work experiences as challenging and fulfilling as that of tattooing."
DJ brings a strong sketch background and the ability to throw flash and custom concepts together quickly as to bring your tattoo ideas to life. He specializes in "new school" tattooing with much of a cartoon and comic quality to his artwork, but continues to push himself into other styles and to gain knowledge and strength in all forms.
